We meet the neatest people here at Hemmings Motor News.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Joe Pepitone, the automotive artist who, when creating fine illustrations for his company Pepitone Creative Services, goes by the pen name JoepeP.
JoepeP was profiled in the Auto Art section of the October 2009 issue of Hemmings Classic Car magazine (now in mailboxes and on newsstands!), and when you read his profile, you’ll learn that, by day, Joe is the art director for Archie Comics, based in Mamaroneck, New York.
Being a car guy, JoepeP takes notice when he comes across a neat automobile illustrated in an old issue of Archie Comics. And being very generous, he’s consented to share with us many of those images, most dating from the 1950s and 1960s. Many of these depict Archie’s famous jalopy, but classic Corvettes and Avantis have also made print. Enjoy!
